BEYOND THE DEAD

Initially planned as a reskin of an established RPG+ Funzio game, this project underwent a substantial transformation under my guidance. With a focus on enhancing usability, I embarked on redesigning nearly every aspect of the game experience for Beyond the Dead, aiming to cultivate its distinct identity. By setting clear objectives for each screen and streamlining user flows, I aimed to minimize friction in repetitive tasks, thereby fostering a more engaging experience. Given my relative novelty with this genre of games, I delved into understanding our player base through the creation of personas and extensive research on competitive titles.

Taking charge of defining the UI’s aesthetics and functionality, I delegated UI/UX tasks to a cross-functional team comprising engineers, game designers, and UX/UI specialists, facilitating a smooth implementation process. The wireframes I crafted served as the cornerstone of reference for the game’s features, guiding the development journey comprehensively. This meticulous documentation not only delineated each screen but also provided engineers with a blueprint for execution.

Despite operating with limited resources as a small team, I devised strategies to address the challenge of creating custom event ads for the game’s weekly live ops. Following the initial launch, I developed a range of live-ops ad templates, streamlining the process and minimizing overhead costs, thereby ensuring the game’s continued operation with efficiency.
